My internet has never ever been this slow before.

I am experiencing slow internet connection. Having tested the speed via uswitch.com as recommended by VM, my speeds have varied between 0.28Mb to 16Mb. As I am typing this, the speed checker has confirmed that the download speed is 0.8Mb and the upload speed is 2.8Mb. What is going on? I am paying a pretty price for this "service" and this speed level is not acceptable.

How are you connecting? wired or wireless. I have ran some checks on the connection and I cannot identify any issues.
