I'm in the same boat. My speed varies from Under 1 mpbps to 9 when it's in a good mood. I've always been happy up until the last few weeks with Virgin Net.
I've tried calling the help desk and after 30 minutes of waiting, I get hung up on.

I have rang them today to cancel. They said they will put me on 30mbs for 7 days to see if it fixes the problem for free. If it works they said there will be no change in my monthley bills if i choose to stay with them. The funny thing is my next door neighbour has the same package and all her speeds are fine, nice and steady.The 10mbs speed that is.Mine are shocking sometimes my speedtests freeze.

I am also trying to cut and paste my modem stats but my cut option is not lit up/bold any ideas on how to fix that?

Hi teamonster,
Your modem power levels all look ok.
Your connection is showing occasional spikes in utilisation at peak times, however this may not fully explain the slow speeds you are getting, can you please let us know when you are experiencing periods of poor connectivity, traceroutes to bbc.co.uk or similar sites would also be of use.
Can you please perform these checks with a wired connection to one device.
