Ping jitter/Download Limits/Disconnects

[ Edited ]

ping is usually good but i'm starting to realize that during peak times/heavy traffic times ping times go all over the place, causing jitter.

Virgin media is not good for gaming, or anything that requires constant 24/7 fast ping times. the jitter is always high on peak times.

i may be on 60mbps but i can never use it's full potienial till 9pm because the traffic managent policy is ridiculous 5gb limit between 4-9pm, EASILY i go over the limits, either by streaming netflix, downloading a movie or few songs & downloading game updates and add ons. I CAN'T STAND IT!

i apprieciate the double speed but traffic managment & high ping changes make virgin fibre optic a waste on money.

Moving to BT infinity next month, from up to 76mbps i get 60.9mbps down & 20.00mbps up, which is better than 60/6. Also UNLIMITED DOWNLOADS ALL DAY :smileyhappy: only p2p traffic is throttled and can stream my usual media without worries. and eventually i will move to their FTTP service when it's available.

virgin media was ok for a while but the restrictions make it imposible to use the full potential of your service, also i suffered disconnects during heavy downloads AFTER download cap times.

Hopefully bt infinity will be a much better service. bye.
