Hi,
I've had the above modem since my original 150K service was first installed around 8-9 years ago. With all the speed improvements taking place (and already have taken place) do I need a repalcement modem to reap the benefits?
On the rare occasions I do stream TV or video from the Internet I do seem to suffer poor playback in terms of quality and constant buffering.
Thanks
George

They do know what you have, but dont assume they will upgrade you without you contacting them.
You cant get faster uploads at the moment so that would allow you to get a new modem, but as there are still some basic hubs out there I wouldnt phone for a new one just yet. You will want to phone up (or post on forums at some point) and ask for a new modem.

Hi wanleg,
Thanks for your post. As mentioned by BenMcr, Virgin Media will provide you with a Superhub when your speeds are upgraded. Having checked your connection I can see that your existing equipment is fully capable of handling the speeds that are currently available to you.
When the download upgrade becomes available in your area we will contact you to advise you when your equipment needs to be replaced. If you are having any issues with your current connection please feel free to contact us, either via the forums or by calling 151 from a Virgin line or 0845 454 1111 from any other line so that we can investigate this.
