Re: Oddly inconsistent download speeds

Hi Denali,

I have checked the network , I am afraid I can not find any problem over the last seven days . If you are still experiencing the problem please post the details what we are requested on the previous post.

I'd be interested to know what checking the logs for the last seven days would tell you about a problem that was instigated on January 20th and reported as cleared by myself and another user on the 22nd. Everything in the thread after those dates is speculation and commentary, and clearly refers to the problem in the past tense.

Once again it seems clear that VM staff, rather than reading the actual content of the messages posted here, are just looking for "problem" threads that haven't been active for a while, calling up the OP's details, running a few belated network tests and reporting "all clear" or asking for no-longer-relevant information. One of the most common frustrations expressed from customers in these forums is a lack of useful communication, and this just underscores it. I know we can be a bit ranty and go off at a tangent from time to time but we are trying to give useful feedback. If VM staff aren't even reading the content, what is the point?

So, just to clarify: this network/routing problem that I and others experienced, whether caused by VM or by external agents, between January 20th and 21st is NO LONGER EVIDENT. Rest assured if another problem arises I will report it here and we can begin the whole charade again.
