New firmware = all settings lost

Hello None of my devices were connecting to my wireless so I dug a bit deeper and realises that the router had upgraded itself to the latest firmware (R36). Is it normal that I should lose all my settings when this happens? Thanks

Does restoring from a backup work after a firmware change?

Urm. To do that would I have to have taken a backup first?

I didn't

If the save format for your settings is incompatible for it to load your settings in the new firmware...yes.

From low to high of Super Hub all I wanted was a modem not the VMDG280 (which back then is only what I would have gotten).
The more that use modem mode the more we need IPv6: Pingtest, 20Mb BB M, BQM, Gateway On/Off show, Outgoing ports test

Thats strange. Mine upgraded but it kept everything. SSID, Port forwards, static IPs. Everything. You didnt press restore to default hoping to get back the old view did you :smileyhappy:
