Re: Latency issues

Hi Simon91,

The fault reference previously quoted is fixed pending callbacks - this means that work on the issue is completed and our Outage team are contacting a portion of customer affected to confirmed that the problem is no longer causing issues for them.

If you're still experiencing problems with your connection, please let us know and supply ping tests and trace routes to bbc.co.uk from a wired connection.

Kind Regards,

Lindsey P

Re: Latency issues

We had this problem for over a year and we rang them up on the 17th and they said it was going to be fixed the next day but never was so the dates that i get given i dont believe them until i see a difference.

I have already gave these ping and traceroutes before from a wired connection and they told me nothing was wrong but they cant see how it affects my devices.

Thanks

Re: Latency issues

We got asked if our problems had been fixed yestaday by an email and i

can confirm that they havent been fixed at all, the latency difference in games

is just awful and the badness of the internet is still there at this time of night.

thanks

Re: Latency issues

Hi Simon91,

I've checked the local network segment.

Packet loss was observed and this issue has been escalated.

The thread will be updated when further information is available.

Re: Latency issues

Well i hope on this date that it gets fixed because i have been other dates before and nothing has improved. Also saturday i spent an hour on the phone with someone from VM and i was getting told that the percentage of packet loss was not high enough to get sorted and then the lady tried to blame it on being programs on my computer which would not affect every computer we have. So i hope this time it gets sorted else il be keeping ontop of this problem because we cannot play games at night time still because the packet loss is way too high!

Thanks

[ Edited ]

Hi Simon91,

The fault mentioned by my colleague above was closed as fixed around the time you last posted.

I can see that the ticket F002056627 is now open for load balancing issues on the local network, which would have similar symptoms though. This is due to be fixed in mid-August.

Kind Regards,

Re: Latency issues

Well to be perfectly honest the internet got sorted and it was great but up until yestaday

it has been messing around again and take till august to sort out? that is pathetic with

a company like you , you should want to get it done quickly for your customers instead of

us having shocking internet and being told you cant do anything with it... its stupid

when you full know that your customers have **bleep** lines and unstable lines!! SO GET IT SORTED.
