Hi,
I am currently living in student accomodation in the BS7 area of bristol. The last couple of days i have noticed the internet connection quality deteriorating and causing online gaming and video streaming to be slow. I have subsequently run a Speed Test and Ping test and found to be having 10 - 20mbps connection speeds but 100 - 400 ms ping and jitter. I have noticed short periods where the Ping is low but it goes back to 100ms + more than often.
Is this due to the house connection or is it a local issue ?

It's been bad ever since the start of term mate.
I was a student here too, so no offence, but I think virgin media have completely oversold for their capacity to all the student houses. When all the laptops and smartphones start saturating the exchange, it goes into meltdown and none of us can do anything online. My connection struggled to even load this page.

Hi James_mcg,
Utilisation has lowered on your specific UBR cables upstream. Let us know if you have any further issues.
