Double D/Load Speed WF13 Area

Having had it would appear the promised Speed Doubling activated in my area on Frid 29th, allthough without any warning which Virgin originally promised, I am a bit lost with the sums. As I was on 30Mb Service and have had a constant 31Mb from day 1 up to the 29th I am now recieving a average 45Mb. !!!!!!!!!!!!! Now allthough it is a very very long time since I left school, I am still sure the Laws of Mathematics have not changed at all. 30 x 2 = 60 so I was expecting the same as everyone else who has had the Speed Doubling the sum of 60Mb. A Speed Increase of 15Mb =50% as far as I recall and not the 100% as promised. The Big Question then is: Where is the PROMISED Doubling of my Original Speed?????? Have I missed something whilst having one of my afternoon Power Naps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone got any ideas or advice to assist. All answers on the back of a £50 note would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance..        Regards. Scorpioking.

Re: Double D/Load Speed WF13 Area

Hi

i can see your upstream power levels are too low and need raising by a local engineer

you have 2 options

1) call 150 (free from a vm landline) option 2,3,2 or from any other phone 08454541111 (call charges may apply)

or

2) wait here for approx 2-4 days for a member of staff to reply

Thanks

Re: Double D/Load Speed WF13 Area

Hi yet again,

Thanks for the quick reply. I appreciate what you are saying regards the Upstream Power Level allthough it does not seem to be too low going on past performance but that is not the issue and it has always been at that level from checking my backup file. The issue is on Downstream Side and I am just cautious as about 10 days ago some idiot went into the Power/Nodal Cab locally and as many engineers tend to do, instead of accessing a Rack at a time to get at a connection on the rear, disconnected several telco connections then forgot to put half of them back including mine once he had rectified his fault. Has someone struck again on the BB side????. I suppose that is the best/quickest solution via 150 but a good majority of people are not technically minded in Customer Service so I'll just have to keep my fingers X'd I get hold of someone Technically Savvy or as you say hang on here for a Staff member. Thanks for advice. Cheers.  Scorpioking.

Re: Double D/Load Speed WF13 Area

Here we are again, having tried and failed several times to contact Customer Service !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! waiting on average 14.5mins on each occasion for a chance to talk to someone it looks like the only way I am going to get any action on my problem is to sit here and wait for a member of Staff to assist. Hope you will oblige please and note the comments from Swt4ajp re the voltages/ Snr issues thus affecting the Speed Doubling.

Thanks in anticipation of your assistance.  Regards.  Dave. Scorpioking
