Hi Dave,
I've checked your connection and can confirm that the UBR which handles your connection is experiencing fairly high utilisation at peak times. We will continue to monitor this, and should the situation continue, this will be raised to our network teams to investigate ways to alleviate the load.
In the details that you posted earlier, I could see that your Downstream Power Level was also a littel high, but this appears to have rectified itself when I have checked just now.
I appreciate that this is a frustrating situation - as soon as the Utilisation levels cross the necessary threshold, I will raise this to our network teams.
Once again, I'm sorry for the frustration this is causing.

Dave_O, I already have been told the UBR is experiencing high upstream utilisation! Why are you telling me this again! I WANT IT FIXED OR TAKE ME OUT OF MY CONTRACT!

Paul_B told me it was already raised with the network team! So are you saying he was lying?
I can assume thats why I didnt recieve a fault ticket because it wasnt actually passed on to them!
At what point is this threshold???!!!!! Its been a month!
I can pull out a ton of people in my area on this forum right now that are experiencing this bull!
Edit: Thought id throw in another test result incase it might alert VM that the threshold has been reached

I am getting similar problems to you, are you on Reading 13 cable?
My problems started in November (about the time Virgin upgraded my upload speed to 1M from 0.5M)
I am not a gamer but internet access was getting slower and slower untill over Christmas and New Year I was losing sync for periods.
Until this problem I have only monitored BB speed once a week (via Thinkbroadband where you can store records)
I am on 10M and most of the time get 9ish although exactly the same thing happened last Xmas/New Year which suggests that it is a contension problem.
This time after trying Virgin India (with the normal results) I googled the problem and found out about Latency and Packet Loss which seem to be my problem.
I did manage to get an enginerer? to visit (after many calls to Virgin India) but he plugged a meter into the cable, said it looked ok, checked the speed on MaxBB which gave 6M again said its ok. When I tried to talk to him about Latency/Packet Loss he lost interest and did a runner.
I now monitor this (since 3/1/11) using the Thinkbroadband 'BB Quality Monitor' which started with Latency in excess of 140ms and packet loss of 40% in the day with better figs overnight.
I have asked other Virgin users in my road and they do not seem to be getting the same level of problem.
The situation has improved over the week end and although Im am not back to normal it is just about ok for my use.
My concern is that this is the second time I have had these problems (this time much worse than the first) which seems to be associated with loading so it is only going to get worse in the future.
How do I get Vigin to take an interest and sort this out now?

I've been having the same problems in north birmingham for 4 weeks now, generally not to bad during the day then shocking from 6pm onwards. I also play WoW and it is basically unplayable to the point where i cannot raid, instance or pvp..... wasting my money all round. I'm now going to leave Virgin as it looks like they cant be bothered to fix/upgrade their infrastructure.....

Cant even surf, took me two minutes to load the forums.

Been 3 weeks now. You got two more weeks like your cs said. Also have not heard from your complaints department after using the complaint form!
