Broadband running very slow, and intermittent.

Hi all, my 30mb? broadband has been running very slow (average around 2mb) for a few months now and the service is very intermittent, cutting out regularly during downloads.  I have spoken to VM who tell me this is due to work going on in the area, but neigbours are not having the same issue and the work started only a month ago.  I did request an engineer but was told that this would be refused while the work is ongoing.

Re: Broadband running very slow, and intermittent.

Hi blokeybob,

We do have an open fault on your local chassis which is linked to high upstream utilisation and this will be the likely cause of the problems you are reporting. Fault reference is F001818702 and we are currently waiting for our Planning team to publish an estimated fix date. Please bump this thread in 3-5 days time and we will check for updates.

We're sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing.

Regards,

Ray Miranda
