It is currently working very slowly for me as well.
Not too much longer till my new Internet is online. :-)
Hope they get it sorted for you though.

When does your Virgin BB end & your Sky BB start? gotta time it right, once my new cable is installed & i still get outages, then i will have to leave Virgin
@Virgin, you have got until 1st Sept to fix the faults once & for all, can't say ive not been willing to give you a chance to fix things
PS. You should also not be able sign up any new customers in this area where the service your providing is not working correctly, im sure its a breach of not only your T&Cs but against the Volutary Code of Practice that you have singed upto, Ofcom will be interested in this, i may just report it
Interesting discussion here about complaints procedures

New BB is being configured on the 16th and TV on the 11th.
I am terminating my Virgin contract on the 31st August 2012.

There coming on thick & fast now, Ive just come back online from another outage between 3pm & 9:30pm, see graph i posted above
Tech support gave me another fault ticket F002107553 fix date 9th August
Heres to the next fault ticket after this one has been filed as fixed ![]()
Im sure its not just me & you being affected, seems like most other virgin customers in our area dont use the forum, its a good job that your backing me up, that way they cant just say the fault is on my premises & give me a load of bull.
Heres a little nugget of info that 1st line tech support gave me regarding the causes of local area SNR issues, they can be open to many factors (fair enough) but with one them also including somebodys faulty router that apparently can knock the whole area out (the tech man say), hhhmmmmm, had to
at that one, considering the bad rep of Superduds reliability im surprised Virgin has a workable network nationwide in that case, they spout more bull than a political party spin doctor

Found another customer in Denton with loss of internet, no response from Virgin in this post at all
on 07-08-2012 09:48
It was down for much of last night, taking my TV with it at one point (it thought I was no longer subscribed).
I am looking forward to hopefully having a working connection but we will see.
We should invite that other Denton poster to this thread, and hopefully more people will get involved so Virgin actually fixes the issue as they are a complete disgrace at the moment. It is not on to be advertising in an area that clearly has a serious issue.

The other "Denton poster" here. ![]()
I setup a thinkbroadband graph on my line as soon as it was installed and it was only showing high latency during peak times. Like I said in the other thread I'm happy with the service and speed just wondered what was going on with the loss of internet over last weekend. Oh and I would still like my own cable running through the ground rather than going through next doors brown box. ![]()

Hi CDGreen.
Welcome aboard. ![]()
I was told last night that there was a new area fault and that it would be four days before it will be resolved. ![]()
However it seems to be working this morning.

Welcome aboard CD ![]()
can you post your graph up so we can compare ![]()
An improvement on yesterday so far, i can at least actually get on the net but still not without faults, looking at my graph today there has been a couple of spikes & short outtages with high latency (my comp was switched off all day from early morning until 5pm, nothing connected to it to cause any interference), whether this is down to area SNR or a local issue caused by my faulty cable running thru my garden i cant say unless your graph corresponds to mine & you also had short outages

Im sure there is more to come, no point phoning Tech support during the next outage as they cant do nothing until the network engineers find a real solution to fix it & not just a workaround that temporarily improves things, which looks like thats been the case so far

Thanks for the welcome. ![]()
The below is my graph from last month as currently my graph is disabled as it stopped working when the R36 update went out and I havent had the time to get it working again.
You can see the "higher" latency during peak times but its nothing major. ![]()
