Best speed testing website

As the title says what's the best speed testing website I have always used speedtest.net but bloke at virgin told me speedtest.bbmax.co.uk is better at the latter it tells me my download speed is 95mb which I'm happy with but at speedtest I'm only getting 30mb unless I mess around choosing different servers but I always thought speedtest.net was meant to be the most reliable one maybe the virgin bloke gave me one which favours virgin lol On another note experiencing problems with ps3 through the super hub wired connection only getting 30mb download speed & when I'm actually downloading for one demo it could be quick for another extremely slow any reply appreciated. speedtest.net is a front end to all the servers - they can be anywhere and any standard - london namesco or paris is usually reliable - but even they can give differing results - depends how many people are accessing at one time for example

thats another one - i think its the same server as speedtest london namesco - but can again give different results

many thanks for the recommendation - why should the OP need reassurance?? - i dont see the point of it apart from it increases your post count - which seems to be the object imo

i dont recommend speedtest sites as most of them seem over used at the times of being used

i just recommend using something like this

Click Here to download a test file please click it twice and after about 1 minute calculate the speed together

thats a better speedtest then any of the speedtest websites

i am coming round to that way of thinking - even the ones VM point to - london namesco and paris on speedtest.net have been poor this last week or so - they are a guide and no more

A good way to bench your network is with ISP Test files, Leaseweb has 100mb 1000mb and 10,000mb test files on europes largest network 2.3TBPS capacity. 

I find it to be very reliable
