additional info.
Tried accross Multiple devices, (Laptop's & Phones) and none of them can reach a microsoft website when connecting via my superhub.
MS sites work fine when using Vodafone's mobile network both on the phone and tethering.
Hotmail
Microsoft.com
Xbox
all fail to load.
Bing however loads fine.

Exactly the same problem for me.
When I phoned Broadband "technical support" this morning, I was fobbed off with a statement similar to "it's not a Virgin Media problem, it's your security system" - whatever a security system is. I told the technical support person that tracert.exe was routing messages for microsoft.com out of my network and onto Virgins servers and stopped after two hops on Virgin then timed out, but she wasn't listening.
Then she suggested talking to Virgin Digital Home Support on 0800 014 7393 when I spoke to them they said they only deal with software configuration issues and she said this sounded like a Virgin problem. So she passed me back to the original Broadband technical support where I originally came from.
I then spoke to another person in Broadband Technical Support who said he would call me back in 15 mins - this was about 1 hr ago. He said he was going to "check the information".
I think I need a proper business ISP that are able to deal with these problems in a more satisfactory manner.

Same here in Chesterfield area, unable to get on any MS site - outlook.com, msn.com, can’t connect to MS Live (MSN) either. Having issues with some other sites mainly US hosted though others work fine. Phoned VM & no reported problems.
I also use Linux as well as MS Windows & same issues on there & on lappys. My neighbour who is on Infinity can get on outlook & msn though he says sites are slow, so may not just be VM?. I rarely have any connection related problems but today something would seem to be amiss?
Edit: There are people over on the Cable Forum who seems to be having similar problems.

I'm in Norwich and I'm a Microsoft FTE so really need to be able to get on corpnet to do some work which I can not.
I just spoke to Technical Support at Virgin again and they said it's not their problem. Great, awesome service!
So I suggest you guys phone this in so they are aware of it in other places. In the meantime I will try and see if this is a CDN issue in the UK - I don't think it is as my inlaws can access Microsoft.com website.

Thats a ripper. I can reach it but Im in Plymouth.
2 things to try...
1 try another DNS server, theres lots out there
2 have a go with a proxy server.

It's not a DNS problem but a routing one so changing the DNS here on my network will not help.
What is your gateway IP?
