OK what is going on...
the rollout document said I would get 100mb by june... Now the online says December?!
I am in Kingston ( which is the Croydon area )
My main argument with this is that other people have been on 100mb for a year and paying the same amount as me!?!

If people have been on 100Mbit for a year, before April they would have been paying more than you. The price of the original 100Mbit tier was reduced when the upgrades for XXL 50 started.

In customer supports' own words, they keep delaying upgrading the Croydon area (at least CR0 6*) because it'll require some work to be done since we're already far beyond the capabilities of our cabs. They need to add more servers, basically.
The customer support guy called the situation a "joke" and their head office was "ashamed" of the service they're provding.
Just saying… It'll probably happen in December, they won't be able to delay it further since it'll be over a year overdue by then. So I guess we'll have to be patient. ![]()

Thanks to all for the information.
I am not annoyed about it as such. Just trying to find out information. And this forum is way better than phoning up.
Now all you need a proper online ticket based faults/complaints system with real escalation option to the people that can actually Solve issues.

......not being funny or anything but Kingston is nowhere near Croydon!!!!
Croydon and Kingston are around 40 mins+ away from each other in totally different boroughs with different councils (Kingston = The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and Croydon = London Borough of Croydon)! You need to check the Kingston area for your speed increase and NOT Croydon's....!!

Ha! You are right but Virgin's Codes are a bit nuts.. But as Far as aI can tell 03 area on the bill covers Bromley all the way round london to Kingston / Richmond... with epsom / banstead / stutton.
Probably the reason it was taking so long.
I've had a few complete day long outages recently and wonder if that's why the update has moved forwards... when things had failed maybe they took the opportunity to swap out switches etc. to get the 100mb in place.
Can't say I am looking forward to it given the amount of trouble on here....
That said people do only come on here to moan! Which is what it's for... You don't see many posts from people saying, "Yup I am happy Perfectly good service"
Well Apart from these 2 days down time - in the space of a week. I've had perfect service for 2 years in this house.
What has got better is the status reports on faults, but could go into more depth - "need to replace swtich" - "Truck diven into green box" - then you might have a reasonable idea of what needs to be done

Well I hope these upgrades have some sort of positive effect on the overall performance.Because the 100mb in my part of croydon from 3PM-11PM is appalling i have been experiencing 10-30mb at these times. And these times are suppose to be stm hours as well.
