i have been watching sky sports 2 live football game and a ten digit number has shown in the bottom left corner, its comes and goes but ive never seen it before.
does anyone have any idea what this is, its been taking my attention when im trying to watch the game, and im also hoping it dosent distroy the plasma screen (burn) like bbc news does.

thanks mate, but it does affect the viewing as i spent the first half wondering what on earth it was insted of viewing the game i waited all week to watch, why not just give people a warning before the game.
Its also distracting - talk about progress or lack of. there must be a far less intrusive way of watermarking broadcasts than that

This number iritates the hell out of me but I do realise why it is there. That said, I was away in Wolverhampton during the week and watched the Scotland game on the Hotel room Sky and atleast the number was beside the Sky logo, so was in a better area.
Question is - why do Virgin put the number in the bottom half of the screen? Stick it up the top as per Sky.

I'm sure there's a reason behind it otherwise it would be up there out of the way, it's likely to have something to do with the sky logo and the placement of the numbers would overlap it perhaps, I'm guessing Sky wouldn't be happy with that. Or maybe sky have just insisted that it goes bottom left?
I must say I've got used to it now, I hardly notice it appears now
