I have just moved over to Virgin from Sky.
Never had any problems before coming across from SKY HD
I have a Samsung PS 42S5SD Plasma TV, And the Box of Death (The Tivo Box)
When the man came from Virgin to install my TIVO Box Phone & Internet Etc...
He plugged everything in everything worked fine until 2 weeks ago....
Keep getting message HDMI not available, still getting Virgin software background and sound using HDMI.
Tried all my other HDMI leads with no success, Contacted Samsung was told that they don't know of any known problems with HDMI/HDCP SOFTWARE PROBLEMS WITH THIS SET.
They said contact Virgin Media. And Guess what they tried to blame TV but said they would send out engineer anyway.
So my question being has anybody else had the same problems using HDMI from TIVO box if so what should I do to correct it?
Done all usual things Tivo box reboot also updated firmware for TV using "overair" method still same problem exsists.

Interested in whether this got sorted. I am having a similar issue. Occasionally, for about 10 minutes, I get the picture dropping out and "HDMI not available" flashes up and the sound goes. The picture comes back but the sound takes a while to come back. This will happen several times and then all will be fine for a few hours.

My main TV is a toshiba and i was told that the TIVO box HDMI link was not compatible with my TV every time I turned TIVO box to standby box shutdown all together The engineer and his team leader both visited my house and agreed the only way this would work was to remove HDMI lead and replace with scart connection and even though i am not happy with this result, I have to say i get to watch all channels both normal and HDMI without any problems.I am not happy with this but the box works in all areas as expected.
