Red Button Tivo

Hello,

I had VM installed last weekend and I must say I love my broadband and phone. I was with Sky for 17 years, so I'm still getting used to the TV.

One thing I noticed is that the red button doesn't work. There is no on-screen logo on Sky channels and when I see the Red Button logo on BBC, pressing it takes me to the iPlayer.

I noticed that this issue was raised in other forums (but about V+) and has never been satisfactorily answered. 

Please could someone from Virgin Media find out what is happening and when the service will be implemented (or the logo removed from transmissions)

It's really odd that such an interactive service does not support the interactive tv functions of channels.

Hi rgnewbury,

The red button feature is currently not available on Tivo this is why you only get the Iplayer loading up when pressing the red button on BBC, however this currently being looked into and will be available on Tivo in the future along with red button on Sky channels but only for certain events.

Really, really disappointed with the lack of red button functionality this weekend. Its a pretty vital part of the TV **bleep**nal on Glastonbury weekend.

This has been flagged since February I think, along with the lack of live event PPV orders. I do keep reading that "things are in motion" and "it'll be looked at soon" but frankly, it seems that there has been a distinct lack of progress so far. Its sad that such a next-generation piece of kit actually lacks features that were a part of its predecessor.

Theres an update in October but nothing thats in it has been released yet so could be then or could be a bit later

As this october update been confirmed by virgin ? i have never seen it if it as, I did see a list last week that someone posted that was quickly remved.

I hope it will arrive in october or beofoe and have red button interactive and also bbc iplayer and also solve the red donot problem and the slow down issues and channel loss issues.

Can you please provide more information regarding your channel loss issues. As this could be an individual fault. What error message are you getting when you lose channels?

Hi laura its happened 3 times in  2 weeks 2 times on channel 4 while recording a programme and once on channel 5. its not a massive issue at the moment but i have also seen others post about it after i have posted on here.
