Problem with On Demand

I smell a rat, why cant they just tell the truth and admit it sucks?

If we are not all BETA guinea pigs then I would hate to see the version they released on them.

Hi ive only had tivo installed a day and already have the on demand issue no scrolling after the 1st page on Sky one ,then a freeze
movies on demand forget it its so slow its painful,tech on phone said signal was terible and needed boosting engineer came back and said system was perfect????,said a senier engineer is coming tom after 3 can anyone confirm this for me please?

Had tivo since april, slowly we have stopped using OD,on V+ we used OD daily and only ever had "high demand" message a few times.
With TiVo, Music OD went first, no search and with the ads and audio drop at the start, then Iplayer app, cutting off end of programmes, tryed with SkyAnytime, freezes and very slow.
When we do use OD, like last night, half way through the show, STOPS! Tivo tells us OD unavailable and kicks us out to home menu!
Given up! Only thing good about tivo is the storage!

the problems listd above sound like signal problems.NOT Tivo. Mine is ok for all the above. Mine has had a different problem but not  these

Can someone from VM please clarify what the problem is here?

Is it signal? Is it intermittent? Will I ever be able to scroll through OD before I retire?

An answer would be appreciated!

This issue is software related and, as advised in a number of threads, is set to resolve by the next update.

By the next update do you mean the one that is being trialled in the cambridge area?

And when is it planned that the trial will finish and the roll out begin. I hear before christmas - is this christmas 2011? The first world war apparantly 'would be over by christmas' when it started.

I find it unbelievable that you can issue SW updates with such fanfare of proclaiming things like sky anytime launch on press releases yet you fail to notify anyone that it is actually unusable at present. Surely this is in breach of advertising standards?

all my 3 boxes froze up leaving me with a picture still at 2.30am today leaving me to reboot them
