Pin number problems! - Would like a reply from someone at Virgin

This evening I sat down to watch 'Who do you think you are?' and was prompted for the pin.

I entered the same pin that I have been using for the past few weeks, for Tivo to insist it was the wrong pin.

After a few tries I eventually tried the pin that was printed on my welcome letter and was shocked to see it worked.

I then tried to reset the pin back to the one I had been using, Tivo accepted the old pin then asked for the new pin.

When entering the confirmation of the new pin Tivo insisted that the pin didn't match.

Can someone from Virgin please look at;

1. Why / Who reset my pin back to the default as it wasn't me.

2. Look at why Tivo isn't allowing me to change the pin (saying they don't match)

The pin problem is bad enough, but made worse if it's going to reset itself at random times (especially when I have programed my Logitech Harmony to enter the pin with one button press).

I agree that your PIN number should not have reset. Please PM me with your TSN. 

Have you found that this PIN reset after a software update?

Can anyone else confirm that they can/cannot change their PIN, or that their non-default PIN changed recently?

Odd thing is someone mentioned a similar issue on the Tivo forum and rebooted as they suggested ans sure enough the pin is back to what I had set.

It's really weird, nothing changed other than the reboot.

Does that mean the default pin will always overide the one we manually set?

I also had the same PIN problem after the 3rd tuner activation software download. Trying to change PIN gave me the same message of them not matching. However, later when I was promted for a PIN on a restricted programme, I entered the new PIN/PIN set before the reset and that worked instead of 1234.
