Peanut App

Hi.

Does anyone have the peanut app to operate the tivo box?

In 'Manual Connection', it asks for Host - Tivo Hostname/IP and the port.  Where would I find the ip and port number on the tivo box?

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Peanut App

IP address is the one given to it by your router. Home>Help & Settings>Settings>Network.

Re: Peanut App

Not sure if you know but your TiVo box must be connected to your home network (Hub/Router/Superhub) for the app to work as well as the iphone/ipad/ipod being connected to home network. Also I have the app on my iPhone and it works a treat.

Re: Peanut App

VM aren't going to help you with a third party app?

If your TiVo is connected to your home network, you have been to settings and allowed network remote controls the peanut app (if on the same network) should just find the TiVo. You shouldn't need to input any IP address.

Also I have the app on my iPhone and it works a treat. Happy Virgin Media Customer. XL TV with TiVo 500G Box and V+HD Box. Broadband 100Meg With a Shiny SuperHub. DIR-615 with DD-WRT only for Wifi Phone (only used to call 150). I do not work for Virgin Media. I post here to help others where I can. Hi there, when you say my TiVo box must be connected to my home network what do you mean ? That I should have a cable from the TiVo box to my super hub ? And how can I connect my iPad and iPhone to my home network, is it connected by default , I do have already my iPod and iPad connected via wifi from my superhub, if that's what you mean then it's done (by connecting to my virgin wifi with username and password). I have 60mg broadband with a superhub and a TiVo box installed yesterday, I have read I need software version 15.2 but I have no way of knowing if I do, if they only installed it yesterday then I guess I have. From a frustrated user :smileyhappy: Any help REALLY appreciated Thanks

Yep, you need an ethernet cable from the socket on the back of the TiVo to your superhub. Your iPhone sounds like it's connected by Wi-Fi so that should be fine, and yes, you need version 15.2 of the software which will let you turn on the "Network Remote Control" option on the TiVo. There should be a screen somewhere in the TiVo menu that tells you the software version number you have, probably in the settings somewhere but I can't remember where.
