Early days and no announcement imminent. What not even a 'coming soon'?

I signed up to Netflix online, and cancelled 2 days later because the idea of 'streaming' films to your computer of TV is of no interest to me whatsoever.
I have about 200 perfectly good DVDs' I would rather watch that waste £5.99 a month with their subscription charge.

Well I must admit I like Netflix and have got into some of the TV series stuff, and Liongate Films,
It streams perfectly to my Apple TV no judder no lags and starts instantly, so I will stick with it for a while,
My other TiVo is also a Mac ![]()

You know, as much as I dislike a lot of what Apple do (especially marketing their products as "lifestyle accessories" which makes me sick and angry) I think the Mac Mini makes an excellent STB. A proper operating system which runs well, quiet and efficient in operation, fully featured internet app/browsing facilities, no waiting for features that should already be there etc...
With Netflix on TiVo, let's face it, it'll take VM years to paint the US app red. ![]()

Just a tip you can access Netflix USA which has an unbelievable amount of films by just manually changing your DNS settings on any platform to
PRIMARY DNS.....208.122.23.22
SECONDARY DNS..208.122.23.23
put the above in and hey presto you can log in with your UK Netflix account and watch the US sites films. to go back to the UK version you have to set your DNS back to AUTO.
Great tip! Simple enough to do on a PS3 too, greatly expanding the amount of content worth watching. I'd recommend anyone do this, especially in conjunction with a month's free membership.
