I'm keen to have control over YouTube with out kids and have it access through the parents' pin number. Having set up under parental controls and ticked all applications on the list as needing to have a pin entered, it turns out there are two instances of YouTube. We can still access the version under 'Applications -> All applications' without a pin. What has been blocked is the version that appears on the main 'Home' menu and also through (from recollection) 'Applications -> Entertainment'.
Any ideas how to block this other one?

I think that is the old version of the You Tube app which is still accessible as you are cearly finding out. At some stage it will be replaced but not short term as far as I can tell (VM please comment).
One answer I have heard before is that VM can individually disable an app on your Tivo box which of course means nobody can use it but at least gives you want you want, be it affects everybody!
I am sure I've read this in the past when Tivo was just launched as there was no PIN service at all then, so if customers had concerns on what other people in their house were watching on You Tube, they could disable it.
Not sure this can only be done for the old version via "All Applications" or for the whole box, over to VM now to respond or you can ring 150 and ask.

Hi MartinWilcox,
I can confirm the Parental Control lock is only locking the new version of You Tube at present.
We do have the option to remove You Tube completely if you wish - however we'd need to check with engineering if it's possible to just remove the old version without the new version being removed. Please let us know whether this is something you would like to do and we can do some further checks?
I'm also going to discuss this further with engineering tomorrow.
