It is when 2 hours before you was getting 10/12MS on your SH2.0!

Its doubled.

It hasn't doubled. Speedtest.net have changed their server's. Now it's using the BETA site all the time, which doesn't have local servers (Glasgow) for me.

You'd still likely get 10-12ms on the SH3 (like I used to) if you could test with the old servers.

I can directly compare the results of my Hub3 with my SH2ac by the side of it, by running the same test with the same server on both hubs:

SH2ac (27ms to Carlisle server): http://beta.speedtest.net/result/5621736299

Hub 3: (25ms to Carlisle server): http://beta.speedtest.net/result/5621738531

Managed to test with the non-Beta speedtest.net again. Don't like their BETA site to be honest, as it has too few server options.

Hub 3 (to local Glasgow server):

SH2ac (to local Glasgow server):

That's either an error or you have one hell of a loyalty discount you're going to lose by upgrading? Smiley Tongue

I should point out that I am om Vivid 150 at the moment but even so £53.53 to upgrade to an extra 50mb is ridiculous .

Even those I am a customer of other 20 years I have never ever had a loyalty discount .  Maybe it is because I do not subscribe to Movies and sports channels

Re: Vivid 200 for gamers

I rang about this, I was told the my virgin media upgrade page is not showing the correct information, it is just £5 per month extra for vivid 200 gamer over the standard vivid 200

I wonder how much extra it is for those on vivid 150 because £55.53 is very unfair

Re: Vivid 200 for gamers

You need to be on 200 tier to get the Vivid Gamer add on. So work out what it would be to upgrade to 200 and add a fiver.

And you believe that? My primary school maths says otherwise...

Vivid 200 Gamer + phone
£30 / month for 12 months
then £39 / month
+ phone line £19 / month
= (£30 x 12) + (£39 x 6) + (£19 x 18) = £360 + £234 + £342 = £936 over 18 months = £52 / month.

Which is only £13 more than Vivid 100 + phone line.
If you ditch the phone line Vivid 200 Gamer is only £50.25 in total per month (to new customers).

Any retentions deal should be at least as good, if not better.

Or subtract what you pay on Vivid 150 + phone line from £55.53 and that's probably your upgrade price.

I'm broadband only and I get one, but only because I call up retentions and negotiate for it when my contract has run out. See my latest deal: http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Community-Natter/How-much-are-you-paying-for-Broadband-only/m-p/...
