Vivid 200 for gamers

Just seen an article that for an extra £5 per month that you can have your upload speed upgraded to 20mb from 12 mb.

They are aiming this at gamers, when does this go live?

Re: Vivid 200 for gamers

Just spoken to support and they state it goes live tomorrow but may take until the 3rd for it to show up as a upgrade option on your account. If it hasn't by the 3rd you need to speak to sales to upgrade it.

It's hilarity at times it really is.

They expect us to pay extra for this, after already raising the prices this year.

I love how Virgin are saying this will solve lag and disconnects. It really won't. Ofcom will have a field day with this.

The only reason you would want 20Mb is for higher speed when capped slower and to stream your game play live more then or at 720p .

They have stated that the upload and download speeds are uncapped, this add on is aimed at twitch broadcasters...

Re: Vivid 200 for gamers

They've said "no traffic management on upload or download" but "fair use applies". So what's fair use considered as on the upload?

Nice to see VM giving with one hand, but keeping back what really matters on the other.....
