super hub 3 Mac address discrepancy.

The Mac address on the bottom of the hub ends in D3 and V.M confirm this My McAfee reads this as D8 any ideas what is going on. Spoke to V.M they referred  me to McAfee, McAfee cannot explain the reason for the discrepancy.

The hub actually has more than one Network Interface,

We have

Cable Modem (CM) Interface
WAN interface
LAN interface
Wireless Interface 5G
Wireless interface 2G

Each Interface must have a different physical MAC address in order to function properly.

So usually what you will see is that all the digits of the interface match up except for the last pair

For example.

My CM interface ends in 13
My Wan interface ends in 15
My Lan interface ends in 18
My 5 GHz connection ends in 17
My 2.4 GHz connection ends in 11

But all the other digits match.  In fact if I do ARP -a from both a wireless and an ethernet connected computer  the hubs IP address is matched with it's LAN MAC address.

C:\Users\timdu>arp -a

Interface: 192.168.0.19 --- 0x7
  Internet Address      Physical Address      Type
  192.168.0.1           c0-05-c2-xx-xx-18     dynamic

Note I've deliberately obscured just two digits of the hub as the first three simply identify the manufacturer.
