Re: What happened at 2pm?

the segment was disconnected to activate some upgrades. Some of the users on the segment got moved to another new one. you stay on the current one as your IP did not change

Re: What happened at 2pm?

Yes, I swapped a Hub 3 for an SH2ac.

Both in modem mode, and the new hub came back on the same IP.

The spikes immediately after the changeover were due to TBB speed tests.

Interesting, especially that the ip changed, Maybe in modem mode your own routers mac address is the one thats exposed and used by virgins DHCP..

Re: What happened at 2pm?

I was fully prepared for a new IP address. Was surprised to find it was unchanged after I set the SH2 to modem mode.

It's certainly made a huge difference. Not only has it sorted the latency, but I'm now getting the full 200Mbps for the first time, according to the TBB speed test.
