What are the Hub 3.0's CPU specs

Since the Hub 3.0 is based on the arris touchstone TG2492 does it have the same CPU which is shown on its spec sheet? Which describes it as,  "Multi Processor Technology with a 1.2GHz Intel Atom Core Application Processor".

Spec sheet   http://www.arris.com/globalassets/resources/data-sheets/tg2492s3.pdf

When i copy the processors name into google this comes up.

http://ark.intel.com/products/75203/Intel-Atom-Processor-Z2520-1M-Cache-1_20-GHz

An intel atom processor from 2013.

So is this the correct CPU in the hub 3.0?

LOL. No, wrong family. That's a CloverTrail+ SoC designed for smartphone and tablets. It doesn't support Docsis communication, so can't be used in cable modems. Also, not sure what the GPU in that chip would be doing, rendering pretty pictures of networks(?)

The Hub 3 uses a Puma 6 SoC, which is Intel xscale CE2600 series (DHCE2600 series), similar to the ones used in Netgear C6300, some Cisco DPC and Hitron CGNM Docsis gateways.

How many cores/threads does it have and whats its clock speed? Curious to see how powerful it is compared to other routers from Netgear or Asus

For what it's worth, the Puma 6 SoC used in the Hub 3 will be the DHCE 2652, an Atom based SoC running at 1.2Ghz. There's no datasheet available publicly so that's all we know.

Here's a nice picture instead.. Smiley Wink

Asus don't make Docsis hubs/modems, so comparison won't be useful or realistic.

I'd be surprised if you can do a sensible comparison between the performance of a non-Docsis router and a Docsis hub, as they're totally different beasts.

How's your performance knowledge of DSP's and Docsis chipsets?

Thats the kit the HUB3 is based on so at an informed guess, yes.

Copy and paste the details into google to save someone else doing it for you, or are you just trolling?

Re: What are the Hub 3.0's CPU specs

lol, i tried that but nothing about its core count or clock speed came up. The sources only stated it was used in docsis 3.0 modems and incorporated an intel atom core inside it.
