It works because the last leg is still over coaxial cable. FTTP simply brings the point at which the Fibre gives way to coaxial to the customers premises. instead of ending at an optic node a few streets away. The connection with the hub still uses the DOCSIS 3 standard.

No mention of how I actually get a voip service from them. Currently I get two residential SIP lines (No line rental) and a 3 line sip trunk that costs me ~£4.50 a month. I would be interested to know what Virgin are able to offer? Pity I have to have a virgin unconnected line which I have to pay for in order to reduce my monthy package costs
Agreed. Still have issues with my Hub 3 but I can just about live with them. Have to reboot once a day to keep a stable connection. Such a shame that they cant concentrate on fixing the most important issues!
