Setting up a home server?

Am I allowed to set up a small, personal home server on my virgin media broadband? It'll be only for me, password protected, and run on a Raspberry pi. It's not to make money either. Are there any other terms that I'd need to adhere to?

Thank you

Re: Setting up a home server?

Short answer - Yes

However if traffic to the server causes issues on the local network Virgin Media do reserve the right to tell you to stop using it.  If it's for personal use, that probably won't happen, but remember you do need to take safeguards to stop hackers from using it.
