Re: Region Free DVD Player

Most of the cheap unbranded ones from tesco etc will play all regions. It is only the big brands like sony who stick to the region rules.

Or if you look on amazon, the product descriptions shouod say.

Re: Region Free DVD Player

Our Sony is (allegedly) region free.  You can look on Amazon as we did or Richer Sounds or others.

Sometimes the region free versions are a little more expensive (couple of pounds or so) than the region locked model.

You could also research the "unlock" codes for some unit you are interested in.

I work for Virgin Media but respond here on an individual basis. No comment or assistance offered is done in any official capacity.

Re: Region Free DVD Player

should be fine, we are way past the days that the hifi magazines would have you believe that you should spend £999 on the DVD player and another £99 on the cable. ( and £9 on a quality bag to carry it home in Smiley Happy Smiley Happy

nowadays they just tell you that for blu ray instead :
