This has only just started to happen to me although I see from Google that this is not a new phenomenon. I try to open a .pdf file from a website and it seems to try but then all I get is a grey screen. Is this just another example of Microsoft trying to cripple this browser or is there a reliable fix?
And no, I don't wish to use a different browser if I can help it.
I don't get this issue at all, but then I use a better browser with its own PDF reader built in - Chrome!
MS would like to dump IE11 in favour of win 10 Edge.

I agree about Edge, I find it hopeless, but if MS are going to keep IE11 going and I hope they will, then it would be nice if they kept it up to date. The latest annoyance is that IE11 will no longer support Youtube HD videos, so now I have to revert to Firefox to see them.
