American information

Recently every time I search for something American information comes up first. For example if I put in "Amazon" the prices come up in dollars. If I put in shopping malls American ones come up with the prices  in dollars. I then have to add UK after all my searches. I am sure it is something simple I have to do to change it back to UK info but I do not know how. Can you help please?

…or it may just not be that well integrated with the (back end) search engine, ask.com.

Re: American information

hiya @gintee sounds like the geolocation system in use is incorrect, what site are you using to search.. if you goto e.g. http://www.ip-adress.com/ip_tracer/ where does this put you? also advisable to delete all temporary internet files/cookies.

Re: American information

Norton safe search. The address link put me in the town I live so that is ok.

Re: American information

so more than likely issue with what ever site its using.. normally most geolocations get the city wrong, not put you in a different continent

Re: American information

The other thing that comes to mind is that if you've managed to browse on google.com, for example, you'll get stuff from the USA.

If your region setting is USA, something like that would happen.
