Yeh! ..... see your point. We'll have to see what the future holds for us, as to whether they'll be any changes .....but I wouldn't hold your breath though that it happens soon. ... lol

After contacting them on more than one occasion, finally got a return call last week from Customer Services reference the current situation regarding Premier Sports. Apparently the negotiations are still going on, so all is not lost. Am I convinced? NO!
I did request that the 10th January message on the front page of the TV forum be updated so that we are aware of the current situation.
Really getting fed up by the lack of information forthcoming from Virgin Media on this one, all we are asking for is a bit of up front honesty.

I did see a quote on the Premier Sports website but I get the feeling that it is several months old. The relevant part of the quote was:
"Whilst VM acknowledges that Premier Sport is a growing sports channel...Virgin do not believe that channel currently merits a position within any of its current TV packages (M+. L or XL)."
Virgin Media did say on the record around six months ago that they had offered to carry Premier Sportsd as a stand-alone premium channel but that Premier Sports declined this offer.
Basically, Premier Sports want the channel in one of the packages and VM will not allow that to happen and will only allow the channel on their platform as a stand-alone premium channel. I guess we should assume that six months on this remains the position and that VM still believe that the Premier Sports offer is not good enough to warrant inclusion on the platform as anything other than a premium stand-alone channel and that Premier Sports wants to be included on one of the current TV packages.
It would be good if someone within Virgin Media would be kind enough to update us given that new the football season is imminent.

I suspect that if Virgin had offered Premier the same terms as Sky do for Premium channels then they would have been up on Virgin a long time ago and forgot about any asperations for a package deal. I would be interested to know what % revenue Virgin take from Premium channels vs. Sky especially as they keep saying they have offered exactly the same deal. I very much doubt it is and Virgin and basically being greedy.
