I recent bought a Samsung Smart HD TV Series 6.
I have the Scientific-Atlanta V+ Box, (Images - http://blog.gadgethelpline.com/wp-content/uploads/
When i connect it via HDMI to my tv it doesnt connect. I have tried switching the setting on the box to HiDef but this doesnt work either.
The user manual for the tv says it might be because the box is to old.
Any suggestions and help would be appreciated.

can you connect to the TV via Scart?
connect both scart and hdmi from V+ to TV, then go into the Settings and change the video output to HDMI 1080 wide. Save that, then make sure on your TV you change to the HDMI output, as you will get a confirmation message you will have to accept, otherwise it will revert back to Scart and you will have to repeat the process...
Some TV's don't automatically switch over to HDMI when changing over from Scart, so you manually need to change the TV to the right output...

Apologies if I'm stating the obvious, but have you tried another HDMI lead.

Current settings through the scart lead are component and widescreen and when trying the HDMI have tried hidef 1080 but TV says no signal received
Have also tried multiple leads
