Set up for additional v box

I currently have v+ box as main box with an additional v box in another room. I asked customer services if for a 3rd box which wasnt a problem and was quoted £20 for box or £50 for  box plus install.  Wondering if anyone knows if it worth paying for install? Is there additional cable to be run or is it simply plug in and go?  Can anyone advise?.....thanks

Re: Set up for additional v box

You cannot self-install additional boxes. The £20 self install should only offered for box changes or to add TV to an existing Broadband only install. You will need an engineer to install the necessary splitters & cabling for the additional box.

Cable customer since 1993. Services: XL TV, Sky Sports & Movies (2xV+), L Telco, 60M BB, Virgin PAYG Mobile

Thank you for advice. Thought it seemed a bit too good to be true!

Perhaps it is too good to be true without discussing what your monthly charge will be after the install.

The additional box charge is another £6.50 per month, although it may be less than this or even zero or even negative, depending on whether you are in or out of contract. Please check to avoid disappointment.
