Remote control issues controlling the wrong things

Hi I have a standard samsung SD set top box upstairs that had one of the blue type 3 remote controls, this went faulty so I got a replacement I was sent a type 11 one, which is fine, but theres a problem every single time I press anything on the type 11 remote (say changing volume, chanels, numbers near enough anything) the setup box works as expected but the TV switchs from the start to TV inputs because its picking up that the remote has sent it a number 7, its the same number showing as if I was changing analoge channels no matter what I press so I have to go find the TV remote and switch inputs back to scart, so basically its useless.

I borrowed another type 3 remote from a member of the family and that worked fine, the TV is an Accoustic Soutions LCD32761HDF if that helps anyone.

Re: Remote control issues controlling the wrong things

Hi Drefsab,

The remote that you used to have previously the blue type 3 remote has been discontinued. Virgin Media now only has 3 types of remote control one for standard boxes one for V+ boxes and one for Tivo boxes. Have you tried programming the current remote with a different code as the wrong code may of been used which is causing unexpected actions. If you are unsure of the code available these can be found in the help section of the home menu.

Regards
