Our V+ box does simple functions like channel up/down from front panel or remote control but other commands like open V+, turn off (standby), and full screen TV guide refuse to do anything. Have tried power off restart but fault persists. One of the last things that nearly worked was to try to play V+ Olympic recording. This is a known current fault but maybe triggered our problem?

Yes. There has been an update sent out that was meant to unblock any recordings from the Olympic streams. Unfortunately this update has caused some boxes to lock out the recording & menu functions. Hopefully a further update will be pushed out to fix this shortly.

Looks like the fix for this is not automatic.
You need either to ring Virgin on 151 from your Virgin phone, or wait for a Forum Team member to see your post. Using the phone is usually quicker, & as this thread now has a green tick they may pass it by.
