Re: BBC 2 NI in Wales

Hello ulstersam,

I notice on your account you have two boxes, is this affecting both?

What channel number are you getting BBC 2 NI on?

Generally the content on 101/102 is generic with the regional content being on;

861  =  BBC1 England

862  =  BBC1 Scotland

863  =  BBC1 NI

864  =  BBC1 Wales

Can you confirm the above.

Thanks

Hi Ernie_C,

If you are on 101 for BBC 1, try 862 for BBC 1 Scotland.

Rob

I don't think that's right. BBC1 should definately be regional e.g I get BBC 1 North West because I'm in Manchester

So people in Scotland should get BBC 1 Scotland

Can you actually type whatever it is you are trying to post, because at the moment they are just blank for us.

My earlier post was supposed to be subtly asking the same question.

I know about the regional AD variations at 85X and regional variations at 86X.

Re: BBC 2 NI in Wales

I'm going to try this for the final time,

Heres the story

I live in Wales, Swansea to be exact and as an avid Ulster supporter I have often wondered why Virgin Media don't give their customers the BBC 1 & 2 regions like Sky does.

At the moment, if I want to watch my beloved Ulster play I either have to go to my mates house and watch on Sky or watch via the BBC NI website.

On the face of it, surely it would be simple to give us exiles our home regions, I know we get BBC1 NI but why not BBC2 NI, and while we are on the subject of rugby, why does Virgin customers not get the option as Sky customers do via the red button to have English commentary on matches screened on S4C. I don't speak Welsh in fact some would say I'm still having problems with English

Just a thought Virgin
