virginanywhere doesnt detect device

virginanywhere won't detect my laptop (win 10). I've reviewed current posts on this and found no useful answers. They are just sent around futile repeat loops. Could you please give clear instructions to resolve this (yes i checked all the various things suggested)?

Re: virginanywhere doesnt detect device

Hi edwardsv

Welcome to the Community, I'm very sorry to learn about the problems you're experiencing with your TV Anywhere service.

What browser are you using on your computer? Are you in private browsing mode too? Do you have any other devices registered to watch the service too? If so, hjow are they working?

Sirry for all the questions, we want to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible.

Talk soon

Craig

Re: virginanywhere doesnt detect device

I have the same problem with the Detecting your device, I just get the spinning wheel, which also means I cannot access the FAQs.

According to the status I have 2 device changes available this month and I know that I currently have none allocated.

I am using Explorer 11 running on Win 7.

Re: virginanywhere doesnt detect device

Hi the_killhoy

Sorry to hear about the issues with your TV Anywhere service. When you log in on the device you're trying to use and select a program to watch, what do you see?

Can I also ask for the device you're trying to register and what operating system it uses?

Look forward to hearing from you

Craig

Re: virginanywhere doesnt detect device

Craig

I am using a Windows laptop running Explorer 11 on Win 7.

I can login without a problem and go to Live TV and select a program to watch then I just get the spinning wheel indefinately.

If I go  to My Profile and Device Settings I again just get the spinning wheel indefinately. (It does I have 2 changes allowed this month).

Re: virginanywhere doesnt detect device

Hi The_Killjoy

Thanks for the response, sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Are you experiencing this issue with more than one browser on your laptop? Are you using any other devices for TV  Anywhere? If so, how does that work?

If you've not tried another browser, I'd recommend clearing your browsing history, including your cookies and cache to give this another go.

We'll talk soon

Craig

Re: virginanywhere doesnt detect device

I thought the only supported browser was Internet Explorer.

I have tried Chrome and Opera but get the message that they are supported.

Sorry, that should have said:

"have tried Chrome and Opera but get the message that they are NOT supported."

On Windows 10, you can use TV Anywhere with IE11, Edge and Firefox.
