sky 1 hd broadcasts simpsons in small screen not full size screen

why is it that when simpsons broadcasts in small screen on sky 1 hd it should be normal viewing screen

Same for me  I'm a Sky TV customer, I suspect that it's due to the episode not being made in HD or widescreen so have to show it in 4x3 fomat although Sky 1 +1 shows it correct in widescreen so perhaps it's an HD thing.

Pre-HD Simpsons where made in 4x3. The fact that the non-hd channel shows it full-wide screen is BAD!

You have your TV set to "Stretchy Vision".

The HD Channel forces non-HD 4x3 into that mode by broadcasting in a fixed ratio meaning your TV can't mess it up!

thanks for that doctor 9 fan it makes sense sometimes sky 1 hd does not allways show it 4+3 format some programmes are different to watch so it is different i will see what forum team say thanks
