iPad sky sports app reporting device not registered when it is

I have downloaded virgin tv anywhere app and successfully logged in and registered a new iPad.

when I go into sky sports app and try to watch live sports, I login with virgin credentials, so far so good but then it says my device limit has been reached, even though I am on one of the devices already registered. Any suggestions.

looks like you've reached you maximum number of devices to be registered, this can sometimes be done by updating a device. Try this:-
 
Open your web browser and go to virginmedia.com/tvanywhere.
Click on My Profile and Sky Cinema and Sky Sports.
Enter your My Virgin Media username and password if prompted.
Click on Sky Devices. Your current registered devices will be shown.
Choose the Device you want to remove.
Click Delete.
Then you can register another device, this will take up your single allocation per month, in which I will refresh for you this time.

Thanks for coming back to us on this and we're glad things are now resolved for you. 

 

It's worth noting going forward that the TV Anywhere and Sky platforms are separate and therefore not synced so any changes made to one, also need to be made to the other.
