I'm sorry to hear you are having an issue connecting to your TIVo® box. In order for the connection to be successful you will need to ensure you have an ethernet cable running from your TiVo® box to your hub / router.
What feature are you trying to use?
If you are only wanting to watch Live TV then you can do this without making the connection. Just make sure you are selecting a channel that has the little wifi symbol next to the channel logo.

We solved the problem. It turned out to be that my husband wasn't actually connected to the TiVo and that the Ethernet cable that he repeatedly assured me he had already plugged in was not in fact plugged in to anything. Everything is now working fine.
