Virgin TV Anywhere

Hi guys!
Just recently had virgin installed and downloaded the app on amdroid to be able to control our Tivo box remotely and also watch things...

Unfortunately, (for me lol), it will not work.
I have virgin wifi, 2Tivo boxes and an Android Samsung Galaxy S6. I have my phone connected to the Wifi hub, aswell as my tivo boxes (as set up by engineers upon installation).

I can view list of My Shows set to record, and i can see the name i designated on each box. Now, when i choose Watch on a programme, i get 2 options..

1: Watch on tv
(i assume this is the "remote" access feature)
2: Watch on mobile
(Self explanetory)

Watch on Tv is not highlighted and unselectable

When i chose watch on mobile.. i get an error message. Technical Fault.. i will repost with word for word message

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear you are having an issue streaming via TV Anywhere Smiley Sad 

 

As the Watch on TV isn't selectable, it sounds as though the TiVo® isn't actually on the home network. You'll need an ethernet cable running from your TiVo® to your hub. 

 

Once this connection is made the Watch on TV should then be selectable. 

 

In terms of streaming, make sure you are selecting a streamable channel. Try 104 for me. What is the error message you get?

Ah thanks i see it now. I had to enter my device name and i can now watch some channels on my phone, although picture quality could be better. My device has ability to show in HD. Even SD on apps like Netflix and Flixster have better quality.

I do see the available channels now though with the streaming logo at the right of channel name ☺

I will get an ethernet cable for my Tivo box. Will i be able to watch recorded programmes on my phone that are on the box once connected?

Hi Syla when you get the app up on your phone in the top right corner there are 3 dots click on that and you get a list All Channels, Favourite, & Streaming channels, you will now find that almost all the channels you subscribe to you can watch on your phone, at home or when you are out and about Regards Micky

Hi,

You cannot watch any recorded programmes from your TiVo on your mobile. All you can do is use your mobile as an extended remote control

When i press those 3 dots, all i get is 3 options

Go to 'Settings' and find 'Guide Channels'

Currently you're not able to watch recordings via the TV Anywhere using the TiVo®.
