Virgin TV Anywhere app for Windows Phone 8?

Hi

Are there any plans to develop an app for Windows Phone 8?

This is now comfortably the third largest mobile OS and is growing rapidly, it's share is only a little smaller than iOS now. So surely it makes sense to now begin development on an app for WP8?

Re: Virgin TV Anywhere app for Windows Phone 8?

I cannot find any official announcement either confirming an intention or stating they will not develop an app for WP8.

Could a staff member at least update.. Even if it is the usual 'We don't know'

Re: Virgin TV Anywhere app for Windows Phone 8?

Both the iOS and Android app are built on top of apps created by TiVo in the US, unless they create an app for Windows Phone 8 it's unlikely that we'll support it. So at the moment we have no plans for Windows Phone 8 support.

Thanks

Re: Virgin TV Anywhere app for Windows Phone 8?

Hi Mark

i believe the OP was asking about Windows Phone 8, not Windows 8 (for desktops, laptops, tablets etc).

Unless that's what you meant Smiley Happy

Re: Virgin TV Anywhere app for Windows Phone 8?

Are you unable to develop your own app? Sky Italy have just announced a WP8 app is almost complete so Sky UK won't be far behind. Surely you need to keep up with competition? Are you aware if TiVo US plan to support WP8?

Re: Virgin TV Anywhere app for Windows Phone 8?

Hi darwin,

We don't have any information on this, our focus is still mainly with getting more devices onto the Android platform.

You never know though so keep eyes peeled for an announcement Smiley Happy
