Unauthorized Modifications Detected on Brand new device!

I have just got a new android phone, downloaded the app and opened up. Everything was fine until I pressed watch now on a tv channel and the above message came up. I've opened a new phone from its box, downloaded the app and tried to play, how have I made modifications exactly? Sorry I'm not great at tech stuff.

Re: Unauthorized Modifications Detected on Brand new device!

Hi coadyltfc,

Thanks for your post and apologies for the issues you are having trying to stream from TV Anywhere.

In order to help further I will need a little more information.

What is the Make and Model of the device you are using?

What is the Operating System that your device is using?

Do you have an app called SuperSU or Superuser on your device?

Let me know.

Thanks,

Re: Unauthorized Modifications Detected on Brand new device!

Hi Kath,

My new device is a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini, on android (using a virgin sim which is tied into our TV & services bundle).

I can confirm that neither of these apps are on my device.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Unauthorized Modifications Detected on Brand new device!

Hi coadyltfc

Thanks for getting back to us. Quite a strange one seeing as it's brand new.

Have you transferred an old SD card to the device?

If not are you able to reset your device t back to default settings to see if this helps? Make sure you back up anything you wish to keep otherwise it would be lost in the reboot.

Let me know how it goes.

Re: Unauthorized Modifications Detected on Brand new device!

Hi Ty,

I can confirm no SD card is or has been present in the device.

I have also tried resetting to default settings, no luck I'm afraid.

Re: Unauthorized Modifications Detected on Brand new device!

Hi coadyltfc

Thanks for clearing that up Smiley Happy and thanks for trying the factory reset.

What version of android is running on the device?

Are there any updates available?

Thanks
