Unable to record remotely via TV Anywhere

I was attempting to record a programme remotely via my iPhone but received the message that my Virgin Media box (TiVo V6) does not appear to be connected to the internet.  Having checked the service for my area, there appears to be no Broadband issues, so I was wondering what the underlying problem might be.

You'd need to check the power saving settings on your V6 box. To guarantee that it's always contactable it should be set to 'Always On'.

Some of the lower power saving settings may turn off the connection to your home network - meaning that management via the app or website won't work.

Hello Ben (once again!)

I'm certain  that this box is on the Eco (?) setting, or whatever the name is for when the power to be switched off when its no longer in use, so this would explain it.

Yes, you need to be set to Connected Low Power mode, not Eco Low Power mode, to maintain TV Anywhere and MRS access.
