I already have my phone registered to tv anywhere, yesterday i used my 2nd registration on ipad so i could watch on there and it worked find, today i have gone to watch on ipad and it says device limit reached when the ipad and phone should be only 2 on there?

I'm really sorry to hear that the iPad isn't working after using it fine the day before.
Usually a registration can be forgotten if you have updated the OS or the app itself. Have you done either of these? If so, using a PC / Laptop, go to anywhere.virginmedia.com > My Profile > Device Settings. Once here remove the iPad from your devices.
Go back to the app and there is now a space to re-register the device. Give it a try and let me know how it all goes.
