I have owned a Moto G for over a year now yet I still cannot stream TV on it - and I'm paying over £120 a month for VM services! When will this be addressed - any comments?
Just noticed the final message on the thread requesting devices to support says:
27-02-2015 15:29 - edited 27-02-2015 15:37 We have now enabled all Android devices* to download and use Virgin TV Anywhere to stream live TV.
Yet the page it points to giving the list of all supported devices includes a piffling 18 devices:
Amazon Fire phoneSD4930UR Google Nexus 4LG
Google Nexus 5LG
HTC One801c/e/n/s, M7
HTC One VAll Samsung Galaxy MegaGT-I9205 Samsung Galaxy Note IIGT-N7100/05 Samsung Galaxy Note 3GT-N9000/05 Samsung Galaxy S2GT-I9100 Samsung Galaxy S IIIGT-I9300 Samsung Galaxy S III miniGT-I8190 Samsung Galaxy S4GT-I9500/5/6/8 Samsung Galaxy S4 miniGT-I9190/2/5 Samsung Galaxy S5SM-G900F Sony Xperia SPC5302/03/06 Sony Xperia ZC6602/03 Sony Xperia Z1C6902/03/06/43 ZTE Blade V
My Moto G (4G) running Android 4.4.4 is compatible with TV Anywhere. But about 6 weeks ago, most of the channels disappeared from it & VM didn't have a clue why, so I uninstalled it.
Sadly TV Anywhere is a complete waste of time. Even when it "works", it buffers & freezes all the time, be that via a web browser or the app.
Thanks for your post and it's great to have you back posting in the Community.
Even though your device isn't fully supported, it still is enabled for use with TV Anywhere. What error are you getting when trying to stream Channel 4?
What is the Model number of your device?
What OS are you running?
Let me know so I can help you with this.
Tech fan? Have you read our Digital life blog yet? Check it out
Thanks for coming back to me on this
As it's not giving you the option to watch channel 4, something isn't right here.
Are you connected to a wireless network?
Are you signing in using a primary or secondary account?
Let me know.
Interestingly, I have just tried Chanel 4 again and it is now working. Several other channels are also working but not all. How do I determine which channels a should be available to view on my phone and which not?
I'm glad to hear channel 4 is working for you now.
If you look to the left of the channel logo you will see a little wifi symbol next to channel 4. Any channels with this logo next to it will be able to stream live TV
Let me know if you have any further problems.
