TVAnywhere on Moto G

I have owned a Moto G for over a year now yet I still cannot stream TV on it - and I'm paying over £120 a month for VM services! When will this be addressed - any comments?

Thank You.

Re: TVAnywhere on Moto G

Just noticed the final message on the thread requesting devices to support says:

We have now enabled all Android devices* to download and use Virgin TV Anywhere to stream live TV.

Yet the page it points to giving the list of all supported devices includes a piffling 18 devices:

Re: TVAnywhere on Moto G

My Moto G (4G) running Android 4.4.4 is compatible with TV Anywhere.  But about 6 weeks ago, most of the channels disappeared from it & VM didn't have a clue why, so I uninstalled it.

Sadly TV Anywhere is a complete waste of time.  Even when it "works", it buffers & freezes all the time, be that via a web browser or the app.

Re: TVAnywhere on Moto G

Hi alanbalm,

Thanks for your post and it's great to have you back posting in the Community.

Even though your device isn't fully supported, it still is enabled for use with TV Anywhere. What error are you getting when trying to stream Channel 4?

What is the Model number of your device?

What OS are you running?

Let me know so I can help you with this.

Thanks,

Re: TVAnywhere on Moto G

Kath_f,
Thank you for your reply. The OS is Android 5.1. The model number is just shown as "Moto G" - it is one of the earlier models.

I don't get an error as such but when I select a programme and touch "Watch now" the only device I get the option to watch it on is the TV, not my mobile. It is not specific to channel 4.

Re: TVAnywhere on Moto G

Hi alanbalm,

Thanks for coming back to me on this Smiley Happy

As it's not giving you the option to watch channel 4, something isn't right here.

Are you connected to a wireless network?

Are you signing in using a primary or secondary account?

Let me know.

Thanks,

Re: TVAnywhere on Moto G

Kath_F,

Interestingly, I have just tried Chanel 4 again and it is now working. Several other channels are also working but not all. How do I determine which channels a should be available to view on my phone and which not?

Thanks,

Re: TVAnywhere on Moto G

Hi alanbalm,

Thanks for coming back to me on this Smiley Happy

I'm glad to hear channel 4 is working for you now.

If you look to the left of the channel logo you will see a little wifi symbol next to channel 4. Any channels with this logo next to it will be able to stream live TV Smiley Happy

Let me know if you have any further problems.

Take care,
