TVA limited functionality

Using tv anywhere on my Samsung Galaxy edge - I can see my shows list of recordings, set new recordings delete shows etc BUT I cannot view tv on my phone. I get message to say there is no tivo box on my network. I don't understand, surely the tivo box must be on the network or I wouldn't be able see my recordings?

You are almost certainly trying to watch a channel that cannot be streamed.

Only channels with the wifi symbol can be streamed. Try channel 104.

I have tried channel 5 and 108 bbc 1. Neither works

BBC don't allow their channels and there are no HD channels.

Try channel 105 for channel 5, not the HD channel, 150.

Ok got 105 to work on my phone when away from my wi fi network. Thanks

Back at home on my virgin media wifi network it doesn't work.
On my phone I get error msg "device can't stream. This channel is not available for streaming on this network type".
When I select on TV I get error msg "Not connected to tivo box on home network. To use this feature you will need to connect tivia box to same network as this device"
Can you help?

At home, are you completely sure you are wifi connected and not using mobile data?

If it works on wifi away from home, it should work at home.

The message you get when trying to watch on TV is telling you that that function requires your TiVo connected to your home network.

I can make and delete recordings on my tivo using the app on my mobile but when I try to Watch using app I get no tivo on network msg.

Using tivo system I rerun network connection in setup menu. All looks OK., I then run network diagnostics and all is good but the app on my phone still thinks that I am not connected.

Anything else to try?

PS I switched off mobile data so must be wifi being used

do you have an ethernet cable going from the tivo to your broadband?

Also, there is now an outage for streaming tv anywhere on android devices.
"Customers using Andoird Devices will not be able to stream on the Tv Anywhere Service
We have identified the problem and an engineer is on their way.
Fix estimate: 27 January 16:00"
